THE PRINCIPLE IS SIMPLE – everyone should be able to operate and use Fred 25, which has resulted in a boat that is practical, accessible and safe. The aim is to enable a lone skipper – even with a disability – to manage the boat alone.
Fred 25 is equipped with a bow thruster as standard, and with its on-board jetty fenders it is a boat that is surprisingly easy to dock, despite its size. The boat is held against the jetty and the remote-controlled bow ramp makes it easy to get ashore, tie up and moor the boat.
There is an optional capstan which will drop anchor without input from the skipper other than the press of a button on the remote control.
